EUROCITIES members currently planning an event taking place between 13 April and 9 June 2019 still have the possibility to register it as an EU Green Week 2019 partner event. This year’s EU Green Week will take place between 13 May and 17 May 2019 and will examine the process of implementation of EU environmental laws.
Any type of event is eligible provided that it is relevant to this year’s theme ‘Take the initiative! Applying environmental legislation’. For example, the event could highlight the tangible impacts of environmental policies on people, cities or nature, the sharing of best practices, the perceived need for better involvement of citizens or ideas on future environment protection but it does not have to focus exclusively on laws and policies.
Event organisers could benefit from the registration as an EU Green Week partner event in the following ways:
- Promotion of the partner event on the EU Green Week website
- Authorisation to advertise the event as an official part of EU Green Week and to use the official EU Green Week branding
- Free access to EU Green Week promotional material
- Awareness of other partner events via a search facility on the EU Green Week website
The application deadline for the registration of partner events has been extended to 29 March 2019 but no promotional items can be guaranteed to applications submitted after 15 March 2019.
