Leeds Digital Festival (LDF), the largest tech and digital event in the UK, is back this September. The Festival is an open, collaborative event celebrating digital culture in all its forms over a two-week period each year. This year’s rescheduled festival will take place from 21st September to 2nd October 2020.

And there are lots of ways European cities can get involved including:

  • Participating as a delegate in one of the many events on offer. There’s a wide range of events for you to participate in, ranging from Fintech, AI, data, cyber security, Healthtech, social media and much more. The full programme will be published at the beginning of September.
  • Speaking at an existing event
  • Organising your own online city event for free

With the majority of the festival taking place online, it’s easy for you to take part wherever you are based in Europe. It’s also the perfect way to showcase what your city is doing in the digital sector to an international audience. For more information on the Festival and on how you can take part please click below. We encourage you to share this booklet with digital and tech organisations based in your city.

SAVE THE DATE – 01 October 2020 (10:30 – 12:00 CET)

Creating Opportunities for Smart Places through Living Labs. A European Perspective.

Leeds City Council, in partnership with the European city network EUROCITIES, is organising an event as part of the wider Leeds Digital Festival that will discuss how living labs can create opportunities for cities to become smart places.

As well as looking at the situation in Leeds, the event will aim to share examples of best practice from other European cities, examining some of the challenges they have faced in creating and setting-up livings labs, and the opportunities labs provide to support recovery and re-shape cities in a post-Covid world.

More details and a link to registration for the event will be made available soon.

If you have any questions about the Festival and how you or an organisation based in your city can get involved, please contact titus.carey@leeds.gov.uk
